One of my "secret" agendas for the Oracle project is to eventually form an exhaustive photographic catalog of every realm, endeavor, institution, and facet of the Western 21st Century Experience for future cultural anthropologists. Assuming of course, our culture's lifestyle allows for a future. One of the most prevalent institutions in our lives is our health care system. It's also one of the hardest to depict in photographs because, you're not going to believe this, medical facilities have strict rules against photographing on the premises?!?!?!? I know this sounds crazy but I speak from experience. I've had to dodge security a time or two in past attempts. So last Saturday I was amazingly lucky to go to the Emergency Room and finally, can cross that one off my list.
