Remains of the Day

Here are the remaining collaborations with callers from the first month of My Year of Being An Oracle.  I'm looking forward to next month, October 7th, because I will be in Fort Collins Colorado, with a whole new city to play with.  I'll be there for a solo exhibition of the Oracle work at the Center For Fine Art Photography.  I'll be at the reception on October 5th (flying out on the 5th, the day the group show at the Hartsfield Atlanta Airport opens! How...coincidental!) and on the 6th, I'll be giving an artist talk and book signing after performing as Oracle earlier that day. Whew!  This month and October, there is a ton going on both with this project and my series, "The Dream of the Red Elephant".
How are you?

Does age limit my possibilities in life?
Should I start to collect my social security now at 65 or wait a few years?

Will I gain the courage to find my creative voice?

Are we headed in the right direction?

What profession should I choose to serve my higher purpose?

Is there any justice in this world?
How am I going to make it?

Notes from the Oracle - "What profession should I choose...?" I looked at the photo of the clear cut and the final photo of the trees planted and organized into rows and suggested therapist or social worker. The caller said that actually she'd been considering Life Coach. For the question on justice - the first photo shows bars which makes me think of prisons. The neon sign actually say's "open" but because it was flashing, my camera caught it with just the "op" So the bars are not open which makes me reflect on how, for many people, once you enter the prison system, it's structured so that it's a cycle that leads you right back in. And for the question "How are you?" Apparently still a dick. Just my thoughts...

I really homed in on the "Does age limit my possibilities?". The suitcase suggests not completely, while the potted arrangement suggest some things having their season...and then there's the beautiful artifact of the lense!

For that one, I thought about how the figure is walking energetically ahead, suggesting we are always traveling, changing. The plants - I noticed the one plant "leaving" the pot, a sign that we can extend beyond boundaries. The third, you can tell the sun is low in the sky but is the sun rising or setting?
